Capanna Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a special release of the Brunello di Montalcino wine from Capanna. This wine is only produced in exceptional vintages and undergoes a longer aging period than the standard Brunello di Montalcino.

Like Capanna's regular Brunello di Montalcino, the Riserva is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, also known as Brunello. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully selected to ensure the highest quality. Capanna Brunello di Montalcino Riserva undergoes a longer aging period than the standard Brunello. According to the regulations, the Riserva must mature for a minimum of five years, of which at least two years in wooden barrels and a minimum of six months in the bottle before being released on the market. This extensive maturation gives the wine extra complexity, structure and depth.

The Riserva has a deep ruby red color and reveals intense aromas of ripe red berries, cherries, plums, spices and earthy notes. It has a firm structure, well-integrated tannins and lively acidity. As the wine matures, more complex aromas can develop and the tannins can soften.
